Shri kesharchand Gulabchand Munot Nevaskar Trust has started in 1963 It has long history of social services including philanthropic and in education field as well. It is registered under the Society’s Registration Act of 1860 and is also a Public Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. Our Trust is actively working to help needy and poor persons in the field of education, medical and other areas of social being. In the name of Rashtrabhasha Shiksha Mandal they started Hindi medium school. It’s a first Hindi medium school in Ahmednagar district. K G College is located 19:05N latitude and 74:44E longitude on the Pune-Aurangabad State Highway. K G College is 120 km from Pune as well as Aurangabad. The college has a strategic location in city and is easily accessible from all parts through public transport system.
K G College is a vision conceptualized by its founder Shri Hastimalji Munot for advanced learning for the economically deprived, socially downtrodden and educationally disadvantaged section of the society .The establishment of the college was the realization of a long and elusive dream of the people of the trust. K G College is the first evening college of Ahmednagar district.
K G College had its humble beginnings as a BCA College, with 33 students on 21st July 2007. Today the college caters to the educational needs of Ahmednagar and endeavors to sustain quality enhancement in all its curricular and co curricular aspects as well as its student’s progression, governance and leadership. The college has to its credit B A, B Com and BBA (CA) programmes.
With a campus spread across 60000 ft the college has a fine infrastructure and adequate state-of-art physical facilities which include 15 classrooms, library, 01 seminar hall, a 8100 meter ground, volley ball court and other sports and game facilities. In addition there is well equipped computer lab. The building and other infrastructural facilities are well maintained and are put to optimum use.
In keeping with the lofty vision of shri Kesharchand Gulabchand Munot, Newaskar Trust and its founder, K G College is a melting pot of students from all communities and creeds, thus preserving a secular character while promoting the Jain philosophy deals with reality, cosmology, epistemology (study of knowledge) and Vitalism. … Morality and ethics based on liberation of soul. The college is open to students of all castes and creed, as envisaged in its vision to cater to the higher education aspirations of the socially, educationally and economically marginized of society belonging to poor economic condition. It offers ample of opportunities to all those who avail the education while serving. The college community comprises of 550 students, 09 teachers and 05 members of non teaching staff .More that 40% of the students are girls.
The vibrant and productive teachers community comprise of 04 PhD holders, 04 SET and NET holders. The College has a well defined decentralized and participatory organizational structure to coordinate the academic and administrative functions. The organizational structure has statutory body .Mr. Hastimalji Munot Heads the governing body, which is the axis of various committees and units that form a hierarchy of organization. Dr Swati Munot is working as a Campus Director and Acting Principal of the K G College.
